Agency for Privatization

Established by the Council of Ministers in 1991. Later abolished and again restored in 1992 under the Law on Transformation and Privatization of State-owned and Municipal enterprises. The Privatization Agency is a state entity, conducting the policy of the Council of Ministers on the organization and control of the privatization of state-owned enterprises. Governed by a Supervisory Board, consisting of 7 members and an Executive Director, appointed by the Supervisory Board. The Privatization Agency has regional offices in the administrative regions of the country.
