Nora Krachunova ANANIEVA


Born on March 30, 1938 in Lovech. Married, has one child.

Completed the German language high school in Lovech. Graduated in Law from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Ph.D. in Philosophy. Worked in the Institute of Modern Sociological Theories 1971-90, its deputy director during 1989-90. Professor of Modern Political Systems and Constitutional Law at the University for National and World Economy - Sofia and head of the "International Relations" department there.

Member of BSP since 1960. Member of the Supreme Council of BSP since Feb. 1990. Member of the Executive Bureau of the Supreme Council of BSP 1991-94. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria 1990. MP (elected in Lovech single-member electoral district) in the 7th Grand National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of BSP). Chair of the Parliamentary Group of BSP in the 7th Grand National Assembly Feb.-Aug. 1991. Deputy chair of the Committee on Labour, Social Protection and Civil Security in the 7th Grand National Assembly. MP (elected in Lovech) in the 36th National Assembly (Parliamentary Union for Social Democracy). Chair of the Parliamentary Union for Social Democracy in the 36th National Assembly. MP (elected in Lovech) in the 37th National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Left). Deputy chair of the 37th National Assembly.
