Born on Aug. 14, 1950 in Burgas.
Graduated in Machine Building Technology from the Technical University in Sofia 1974, and in Mathematics and Control from the Bucharest University 1976. Post-graduate studies in marketing at Pennsylvania University, USA, 1984. Ph.D. in Engineering. Corresponding member of the International Academy of Automatization - Moscow. Member of the American Marketing Association - Chicago. Worked as a technologist, research associate, and program director of the Marketing Department at the Center for Qualification of Management Personnel in the Machine Building Industry 1979-85. Head of the marketing department at "Electroimpex" 1985-90. President of "BEKKO" Co. 1990-93. Lecturer in marketing and executive director of "International University" - Sofia. Lecturer in marketing at the Technical University of Sofia and at the New Bulgarian University - Sofia.
Secretary general the Council of Ministers 1993-94. Executive director of the Agency for Privatization since March 1995.
Publications: six books on marketing, over 30 scientific articles.
