Filip Dimitrov DIMITROV


Born on March 31, 1955 in Sofia. Married.

Completed the English language high school in Sofia 1973. Graduated in Law from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" 1977. Post-graduate studies on individual and group psychotherapy using the psycho-dynamic approach. Attorney in Sofia 1979-90. Secretary of the Bulgarian Attorneys' Union 1989-90.

Member of the Conservative and Ecological Party (within UDF) 1992-Nov. 1996. Member of the National Coordination Council of UDF since 1990. Deputy chair of the National Coordination Council of UDF Aug.-Dec. 1990. Chair of the National Coordination Council of UDF Dec. 1990-Dec. 1994. Member of the Executive Council of UDF since Feb. 1997.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Nov. 1991-Dec. 1992. MP (elected in Sofia) in the 36th National Assembly (Parliamentary group of UDF). MP (elected in Sofia) in the 37th National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of UDF). Member of the Bulgarian Parliament Delegation for Relations with the European Parliament.
