Ivan Petrov GADJEV

Born on March 20, 1937 in the village of Petkovo, Smolyan municipality, Plovdiv district. Married, has two daughters.

Completed the Building high school in Stara Zagora 1956. Graduated from the University for Architecture, Building and Geodesy 1965. Post-graduate studies in Prague, 1970; Warsaw, 1973; Ukraine, 1980. Assistant technical director, technical director, group technical director and deputy director in "Hydrostroy" 1965-83. Deputy director general of "Metropolitan" 1983-95. Member of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria.

Member of BSP. Member of the Municipal Council of BSP of Lyulin municipality - Sofia 1992-94. Municipal councilor from BSP in Sofia 1991-95. Deputy chair of the Committee on Transport at the Sofia City Municipal Council 1991-95. Deputy Minister for Territorial Development and Building 1995-Feb. 1997.

Publications: "Technology of Shrits Walls" 1978, "Subway Building" 1980. Awards: orders "Red Flag of Labor" 1970, "Honorary Citizen of Sofia" 1st class 1982.
