Konstantin Stefanov GLAVANAKOV

Born on June 3, 1936 in Sofia. Married, has two children.

Graduated in Law from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" 1958, and from the Academy for Foreign Trade in Moscow 1966. Economist in "Vinimpex" 1966-68. Second secretary and trade attache in the Bulgarian representation in New York 1968-72. Chief expert and head of department in the Ministry of Foreign Trade 1972-77. Director general of "Vinimpex" 1977. Director general of "Intercommerce" 1938-88. Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade 1988-91. Bulgarian ambassador to Japan 1991-95. Advisor in the Ministery of Foreign Affairs Office 1995.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs - in charge of the economic aspects of foreign political activity, since Apr. 1995.
