Post-graduate studies at Illinois State University, USA 1978-88, in London and in Tucson, Arizona, USA 1993. Ph.D. in Economy 1989. Associate professor and dean at the University for National and World Economy 1984-95. Deputy director of the Business School at the University for National and World Economy 1989-93. Guest lecturer at Illinois State University, USA 1991-92. Member of the Board of Managers of "Microprocessor Systems"-Pravets 1988-91. President of "Orpheus" Co. 1990-93. President of a consultancy firm 1993-95.
Member of BSP. MP (elected in Pleven) in the 37th National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Left) 1995. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Jan. 1995-Feb. 1997. Chair of the Council of Directors of the Bank Consolidation Company Oct. 1996-Mar. 1997.
