Born on May 31, 1938 in the village of Mirkovo, Srednogorie municipality, Sofia district. Married, has two sons.
Graduated in Economy of Agriculture. Ph.D. in Economy. Worked in the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party. Chair of the Federation of the Independent Trade Unions in Agriculture (within the Federation of Independent Trade Unions). Expert on the problems of organization and management of agriculture.
Member of BSP. MP (elected in Sofia region) in the 37th National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Left) until March 1996. First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Mar. 1996-Feb. 1997.
