Graduated in Industrial Economics from the University for National and World Economy in Sofia. Post-graduate studies in Cologne, Germany. Ph.D. in Economy 1980. Worked for 1 year in Vazov's Machine Building Plants. Assistant professor at the "Industrial Economics" department at University for National and World Economy in Sofia, associate professor, member of the Academic Council, deputy dean 1987. Secretary of the university organization of the Bulgarian Communist Party at the University for National and World Economy in Sofia.
MP in the 7th Grand National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of BSP). Director of the Center for Mass Privatization at the Council of Ministers Feb.-Aug. 1995. Advisor in the Council of Ministers 1995-96. Member of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Privatization since Jan. 1996, chair of the Supervisory Board since Jan. 1997.
Publications: over 150 articles and publications in the field of organization and management of industrial enterprises, restructuring of the economy and privatization.
