Emil Strahilov KOSTADINOV

Born on Aug. 9, 1956 in Blagoevgrad. Married, has one son and one daughter.

Completed high school in Blagoevgrad 1974. Graduated in Building Engineering from the University for Architecture, Building and Geodesy in Sofia 1981. Chief of a building site, chief of a team, chief engineer, deputy director and director of "Stroitelno-montazhen kombinat" (Building and Assembly Works)-Blagoevgrad 1981-88. Deputy-mayor of Blagoevgrad 1988-90.

Member of BSP. Chairman of the Regional Council of BSP in Blagoevgrad 1990-91. Member of the Supreme Council of BSP since 1990. MP (elected in Blagoevgrad) in the 36th National Assembly (Parliamentary Union for Social Democracy). MP in the 37th National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Left). Deputy chair of the Committee on Local Administration, Administrative and Territorial Structure and Regional Policy in the 37th National Assembly. Member of the standing delegation of the Bulgarian Parliament in the Assembly of the West European Union.

Awards: orders "Red Flag of Labor" 1987, "Kolyo Ficheto", and others.
