Georgi KONSTANTINOV Hristov


Born on Dec. 20, 1943 in Pleven. Married, has one son.

Completed high school in Pleven 1961. Graduated in Bulgarian Philology from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" 1967. Writer. Editor in the Bulgarian National Television 1967-70. Editor in "Puls" newspaper 1970-72. Deputy editor-in-chief of "Narodna mladezh" newspaper 1972-73. Editor-in-chief of "Rodna rech" magazine 1973-84. Editor-in-chief of "Plamak" magazine 1983-94. Member of the Executive Bureau of the Union of Bulgarian Writers - 1988 and since 1994.

Member of BSP. MP (elected in Pleven) in the 7th Grand National Assembly. Deputy Minister of Culture Jan. 1995-Feb. 1997.
