Nikolay Georgiev KAMOV


Born on Apr. 11, 1956 in Sofia. Married, has one son and one daughter.

Completed the Russian language high school in Sofia 1974. Graduated in Law from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" 1980. Post-graduate studies in foreign policy at the Academy for Social Sciences in Moscow 1989, and in the USA 1994. Secretary of the Central Committee of the Dimitrov's Comsomol Youth Union 1984-89.

Member of BSP 1979-Feb. 1997. Member of the Supreme Council of BSP 1991-Feb. 1997. Member of the Executive Bureau of the Supreme Council of BSP 1994-Nov. 1996. Political Secretary of the Bulgarian Euroleft since Feb. 1997. Advisor to the President - Petar Mladenov 1990. MP (elected in Dobrich) in the 36th National Assembly (Parliamentary Union for Social Democracy). MP (elected in Sofia) in the 37th National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Left). Chair of the Committee on Foreign Policy in the 37th National Assembly. Head of the Bulgarian Parliament delegation for Relations with the European Parliament since 1995.

Publications: over 30 scientific articles.
