Graduated from the University for National and World Economy in Sofia. Worked as economist, director of Avtokombinat - Vratsa and deputy chief director of Teritorialno snabdyavane" ("Territorial Supply) - Vratsa.
Member of BSP. Chair of the Regional Council/Mayor of Vratsa up until 1990. Member of the Supreme Council of BSP. MP (elected in Vratsa) in the 7th Grand National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of BSP). Chair of the Committee on Administrative and Territorial Structure and Local State Authorities in the 7th Grand National Assembly. MP (elected in Vratsa) in the 36th National Assembly (Parliamentary Union for Social Democracy). District governor of Montana district Feb.1995-June 1996. Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries June 1996-Feb. 1997.
