Georgi Vladimirov YURUKOV

Born on June 11, 1955 in the village of Ilinden, Hadjidimovo municipality, Sofia district. Married, has one son and one daughter.

Completed high school within the system of the food industry - Plovdiv 1974. Graduated in Law from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" 1984. Electrician and technologist in a municipal company in Gotse Delchev 1977-79. Judge in the District Court in Blagoevgrad 1985-86. Deputy regional public prosecutor in the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Gotse Delchev 1986-88. Secretary of the Executive Committee in the Municipal Council in Gotse Delchev 1988-90. Deputy chairman of the Interim Executive Committee in the Municipal Council in Gotse Delchev 1990-91. Legal advisor in "Pirel" state company - Gotse Delchev 1991-92. Attorney in Blagoevgrad 1992-94. Member of the Union of Lawyers in Bulgaria. Member of the Board of Directors of the Agency for Foreign Aid since Jan. 1996.

Member of BSP since 1978. Member of the Executive Bureau of the Municipal Council of BSP in Gotse Delchev 1991-95. Member of the Regional Council of BSP in Blagoevgrad 1991-95. Municipal councilor in Gotse Delchev 1988-94. Leader of the BSP group of municipal councilors in Gotse Delchev 1991-94. Member of the Supreme Council of BSP. MP (elected in Blagoevgrad) in the 37th National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Left).

Awards: medal for protecting the state borders, 2nd class 1978.
