Dobromir Martinov ZADGORSKI

Born on Nov. 15, 1955. Married, has one daughter.

Completed high school in Sofia 1979. Graduated in Bulgarian Philology from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" 1985. Earned a Facultative Journalism degree. Worked as crane-operator in "Kremikovtsi" metallurgical plant 1975-80. Editor in "Puls" newspaper 1985-91. Deputy editor-in-chief of "Zora" newspaper 1991-94. Member of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists.

Member of the Social Committee for Protection of National Interests since 1990, co-chair (1992-93), and chair since 1993. MP (elected in Varna) in the 37th National Assembly (Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Left). Deputy chair of the Committee for Control of the Revenues, Expenditures and Property of Political Parties in the 37th National Assembly. Member of the Bulgarian Parliament Delegation for Relations with the European Parliament.

Publications: poetry collections - "Resistence" 1982, "Midnight Waterfall" 1987, "Forerunners" 1988; publicism - "The Pan-turkism - yesterday and today" 1991, "The Miracle called Kuwait" (in English).
